At present, many graduates are working in research institutes. Over the 20 years of its existence, important personalities of Romanian historiography taught in this faculty: Ligia Bârzu, Faiz Căzan, Gheorghe Bichir, Gheorghe Ionita, Nicolae Catrina, Zorin Zamfir, Ion Calafeteanu, Ioan Scurtu, Ibrahim Căzan taught in this faculty.
Professor Stefan Olteanu is among the authors of "the Treaty of Romanian History". The offer of studies provides Bachelor level training and specialisation at master level.. In recent years the school has seen a diversification of the curriculum area through the creation of a postgraduate program in order to obtain qualifications in occupational classification of the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Protection and increased chances of providing labour market integration.
The Faculty operates a historical Research Center of the National and European History, which has as its main activity the fundamental and applied research in the field of modern and contemporary history, geopolitics, international relations. The Faculty has collaborations with faculties and research institutions in the country and abroad. The Reseach Centre also carries out activities in the field of educational processes, and can provide consultancy activities, expertise and other services. The academic journal The Annals of the “D. Cantemir” Christian University” - History Series hosts scientific contributions of the teaching staff, but also of some employees in the country and abroad. In addition, the Faculty has a student magazine, "Ars Historica”, which published scientific contributions of the students enrolled in the graduation and master programs. The Faculty has inaugurated a series of collection of documents of interest for Romanian and European historical research:

2. In the faculty, the research activity is carried out according to the individual plan, each teacher sets up. Research Internships are conducted at universities, archives and research institutes abroad. Our teachers participate in the dissemination of research results by mass media. Harnessing research is done by publishing or editing of scientific works, special courses, books, studies and articles in recognized publications nationally and internationally, through the permanent updating of the courses taught and the students attending scientific events. The results of scientific research conducted in the faculty are recognized nationally through numerous awards granted by the Romanian Academy and the diplomas of merit awarded by the Ministry of Culture and Religious Affairs. |
